The D9 is a variation that evolved from the M9 design. It combines the classic “lotus root” wheel with the M9's overhanging beadlock design and air scoops. It stresses hardness and a mechanical gear feel, and was designed for vehicles like the HiAce and Land Cruiser. Nine distinctive holes and ten air scoops give the design a sense of motion. It is a hard offroad wheel that matches the presence of big tyres. The D9 SPEC-M comes in an exclusive Super Dark Gunmetal, with a centre cap matched to the pierce machining around the rim edge.
The disc combines the nine-hole lotus-root design, an offroad classic, with ten openings that are deliberately offset. The slight mismatch is pleasing and gives the wheel an active sense of motion.
The flange undercut and pierce-drilled machining carried over from the M9 create a beadlock-ring look, as if it were a separate part, emphasising a real offroad feel.
A hairline-finish ornament lifts the quality of the whole wheel. It uses a silver type that differs from the standard colour, as a unique SPEC-M accent.
