Hood vent fins are a classic way to add chrome or style detail to the bonnet line — high visual impact with a relatively simple install when adhesive / OEM mounts are used as directed.
FAQ
Will this fit my SCHATZ?
It is made for the SLK R171 Roadster (chassis cues: R171). Other generations use different grille geometry and will not fit — always match chassis code, year, and facelift style.
What finish is this?
This version is listed as Chrome.
Does it replace the whole bumper?
No. This is a hood / bonnet vent fin set (or similar trim), not a bumper or full grille replacement.
Do I need a body shop to install it?
Many owners have a workshop or detailing shop handle the swap so panel gaps and clips are set correctly. Experienced DIY installers can also complete straightforward direct-fit grills with care and the right trim tools.
How can I confirm fitment before I buy?
Message CarGym with your model year, chassis code, R171, and a clear front (or relevant area) photo — we will confirm compatibility before you order.
