Will this fit my Taycan if it came with the standard steel brakes, not PCCB?
It fits any Taycan, 4, or 4S running the exact factory rotor sizes listed for this page: 360mm front / 358mm rear on the base setup, 410mm front / 365mm rear with PSCB, or 420mm front / 410mm rear with factory PCCB. The one hard requirement is your front factory caliper — Direct Replacement works only when the front caliper is 4-piston or more, which covers the standard Taycan front six-piston aluminum monobloc. Rear caliper count is not a limiting factor. If you optioned steel or PSCB up front, confirm the caliper against your build sheet before ordering, since we reuse those factory calipers rather than replacing them.
How do carbon ceramic rotors behave on a cold winter morning in the Taycan?
Physics first: an untuned carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops before it warms up. That is normal, not a defect. We addressed both sides of the problem — the low-metallic resin-composite pad compound and the disc's ceramic surface coating are tuned for cold starts, so cold-car braking feel now comes very close to your summer feel. On the coldest first stops of the day, leave a little extra following distance until the front rotors take heat, then the roughly 0.44 average friction coefficient is fully there. In an EV like the Taycan, regen also handles most low-speed decel, so the friction brakes stay cold longer than in a combustion car — the tuning matters more here, and that is exactly what we built for.
Does the factory brake pad wear warning still work after I install these?
